i think a winter shutdown would do no harm ,none of us want to sit, in the height of winter freezing our chuck`s @ff but i think it would make sense to have a break, also players seem to get more pulled muscles take knock`s harder in cold conditions,it would also give the teams in euro cups a good time for prep to rest players which must be a good thing a advantage to the Scottish clubs.

Absolutely. The grounds should be closed from the end of November to the start of February.

Will it happen? It might seeing as that wee twerp Yorkston is in Division 1 presently

No i’m not in favor of it in the slightest you can never predict when the frost/snow will appear and the top flight clubs are ment to have pitch protection to be honest most of the first division do too on account of them either prior members of the top flight or ambitioce enough to have it installed ready so really your talking about div 2 +3 and to be honest if a few games get called off it’s not as if they have Scottish, CIS or european headaches is it? so they’d be able to catch up.

There is another reason i’m agaist it the boredom of it all four weeks no football to watch apart from the odd english game on the telly. nah lads leave it. please

No. They should just be forced to play in the weather., That would make far more sense. Who cares if they fall. Football is football nae matter whit and we live in scotland and should be use to these fine showers.

the weather in Scotland can be crap all year round so why have a break maybe they could have a break for Xmas and the new year and give the fans a break

Problem is,when do you have the break,i mind a few seasons ago,they closed down in January,that’s OK,but the bad weather arrived after they came back off the break,and a load of games where postponed,so it didn’t work that season.

since when did winter have anything to do with it, its pishy all year round. Teams need to come up with either a better drainage system or cover the pitch the day before a game
