Many years ago when living in Bristol, I belonged to the Bristol Scuba Club and they had regular trips to the Red Sea - I could never afford to go with them, but loved listening to their experiences and seeing photos when they returned. A reputable Travel Agent should be able to give you full information about good hotels - if you are planning to organise everything yourself instead of taking a package deal, we've found Travel Bag (Nicola) in Cheltenham to be magnificent. (Great Fun) and you can rent a boat there and head over to the reef near a lighthouse and go diving and fishing.
