Next week my friend and i are going on a short trip down to the south west of england and we want to get some proper home grown cider from the land of cider.
We are just not sure where to get some from and were wondering if anyone had any suggestions. We are looking for something thats maybe just made at a farm or something and tastes better than the supermarket brands (and the stronger it is the better).
Would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions. We are going to be all over the place from somerset to cornwall so doesnt matter where it is. Thanks.

There are loads more places to get it good quality cider on this website, hope it helps!
By the way, this IS in the South – West of England. Somerset and Devon are particularly famous for their cider so while you on your travels you might want to check there for any good cider.
There is a scrumpy farm near hayle and truro in South Cornwall. It has a few farm animals and you can taste the ciders and fruit juices they produce before you buy – very nice yumm!!!
try this website for more info!!
Hi,
Ok. there is one place I’ll suggest. It is the only organic producer, according to them anyway, of organic cider. However whatever you want to call it, I can guarantee it is just about the the best cider you ever had. The web address will follow.
What I can also tell you is this. As you drive through the west country, especially in Somerset, you will see signs on a regular basis, saying home made cider. You further into Somerset you get, the cheaper it gets LOL. But be sure to understand the difference between scrumpty and cider. Scrumpty is kinda unrefined, not just in it’s taste but in the fact that’s it’s kinda unrefined alcohol, LOL You will see signs for both. But be careful if you wonder off the beaten track following signs offering scrumpty. this is darkest Somerset, heading towards even darker Cornwall. Remember the movie Dog Day Afternoon. LOL. (but really my fellow west countryians are just great.)
So you take your chance where you want to stop. But you can find some amazing places. I found a little farm that makes home made clotted cream that way in Devon. Clotted cream was never like that before or will be again. It was all laid out in trays and they cut it out in squares to sell it. Then it got a bit soft and it was like eating heavan. So I never bought the stuff anywhere else ever again. There are lots of cider makers that have secret products like that.
Anyway, go to this website, Then click on the contacts to link for details where to find them and when they are open. I can guarantee cider like what tis should be aarrrhhhggg.
Any probs contacting or finding them, let me know. Apart from that you can leave it to chance, just watch the signs for homemade cider, there are lots of them.
Please leave our coutryside as you found it. Thank you
If you get on the M5 leave at J22 (? i think ) theres a place called Highbridge They have a few cider farms there.
