i went there like 7 years ago when i was like 11, so my memory is a little iffy. but i did have a lot of fun exploring the pyramids, plus there was this amusement park…cant remember its name, but it was really fun. Caution: its really hot lol

You should make all visits like a tourist first it’s interesting.
Cairo : Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and the mummies room, Citadel, Khan El khalily, Old Cairo (Mosques and churches)
Then Alexandria : Alex Bibloteca, Montazah, Jewelery museum, Qait bey fortress, Walk on the cornish, eat sea food there.
Hurghada : spend sometime on the beach and take the speed ferry to Sharm stay on Neamaa bay, Ras Muhamed, St. Kathrine monastery and watch the sunrise over the top of the mountain there.
North coast : Marina, Marsa matrouh and enjoy one of the best beaches in the world.
If you need more post your questions
    Welcome back

I also wanted to go there this summer but had to cancel my trip. So I will give you my 5 weeks plan:

    1. Spend time with Family: this would take about 3 weeks in total of the 5 weeks (depends on who you want to see)

    2. Two days Alexandria: visit Kaitbay Castle, walk the Kournish and most impotant eat local Fish. this was a must do for me. I almost forgot what the fish tastes like.

    3. 4 days Hurghada or Sharm, it might be a little hot but it is a relaxing spot, and hopefully will not be full in summer

    4. It sounds like you have a family. Kids in the age of 7 up will be fascinated by the Historyof Egypt, because they study this at schools overseas. here are some good trips in Cairo;
    a. Pyramids
    b. Egyptian Meusium
    c. Pharaonic Village
    d. Light and Sound

    5. Dont forget a must to do Dinner on one of the Nile boats.

I was planning to hire a car to avoid the harassement of taxi driveres, it may be a little more expensive than taking a taxi every time, but at least you will not suffer nerves breakdown arguing. The best company I came across was Smart Limo in Maadi, their tel no. +20-2-5243006

    Have a good trip.

Of course you must go to one of the many beautiful beaches! Even if you are from there, the beach is always a great place to be. Maybe try to go somewhere you have never been before. I grew up in the US, yet I have never been to NY city. There are still many places I would love to see here. I have been from coast to coast to coast, so I have seen alot of it. But not all that I want. I would go and see the sunrise on the Mediterranean. Simple breathtaking! Sitting in a sheesha bar on the sidewalk drinking juice or soda with friends. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make it so much more enjoyable.
