I have never heard of a ‘Holiday Maker Work Permit’ .

Either you’re here on holiday (in which case you’re not permitted to work), or you’re applying for a permit to work in your homeland because you already have an offer of employement. Can you clarify what the position is?

    Hi

I think Sarfaraz is referring to the UK Working Holidaymaker Visa Scheme – an opportunity for Commonwealth citizens to spend up to 2 years in the UK – for working and holidays.

The questions you’re likely to be asked will revolve around your intentions (will you return to India after 2 years), your financial independence (will you be able to sustain yourself if you are not able to find work) etc.

    Hi Sarfaraz,

You should take your passport, 2 x passport sized photographs of yourself, bank statements (showing approximately £2,000 in available funds), qualification certificates and employment references.

The Entry Clearance officer will want to establish that – you can support yourself if the UK and that your intentions are those of a working holiday maker, i.e. that your primary purpose of visiting the UK is to holiday and that any work you undertake will be incidental to your holiday.
