Nick asked:
I am an American looking to visit England in the next few months… I plan on seeing football matches (go Aston Villa!) and nightclubs..if I could only go to one city, which one would be the best experience for these things?

LONDON! trust me its amazing
go to birmingham; they are gonna love you.
*Cough* Amsterdam ;D
London, biggest and most diverse so more things availble to attend or watch or do. More choice = better
If you were only going to visit one city it should be London. However, there are lots of other places in UK that are worth visiting!
Avoid London like the plague, its congested, expensive and overun with foreigners…..you would be lucky to find a real English londoner the place is full of Polish, Afgans, Iraqi’s, Czecs etc etc. I would say the further you go north the better and more English the city you will find but thats not set in stone as we are a very diverse country. I recommend places like Oxford, Bath, Harrogate, Manchester and Chester. As you are a Villa fan ( good choice, bet you support Cleveland Browns as well) you could try staying in Lichfield not far from Birmingham and it will be my pleasure to take you to see Villa play at home. ( check out Lichfield on the Internet, it has one of the most beautiful cathederals in the UK)
Do an East Midlands tour, and visit Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.
Nottingham has 2 football cubs and lots of night clubs.
Hi, possibly this entry may be off topic but anyways, I have read some of your other posts too and they are great. Keep up the good work! Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
