What are some good places to visit in England, preferably in the south east?

~*N*~ asked:

This is my second time on holiday in the UK this year, and I am wondering what else there is to do there. Any suggestions? There is just so much that it is overwelming. I like history and art.

How about Windsor. It’s only about 6 miles from Heathrow Airport, has great shopping. an incredible castle to visit and if the sun shines you can enjoy a spot of boating on the river Thames.

Brighton on the Coast about 60 miles south of London, easy to get to, plenty to do, lots of small twee shops to explore. Only problem is the fact that it’s a Pink town, if you get my drift.

    Enjoy your trip.

Check out the national trust and english heritage websites – lots of interesting places in the south east, e.g. knole, chartwell, Hever Castle etc
