thinking of having a city break in september, is Dublin expensive?

mattyspurs76 asked:

I know its Euros but every country charges different amounts for the same thing, just wondered how does Dublin compare?

Is it cheap to spend 3nights there?

i was in dublin for st. patty’s day and it wasn’t too bad. the hostels were all booked so i stayed in a bb (was traveling with a friend so double occupancy made it a bit cheaper) and only paid 35 euros per night. that was a little more than i’d wanted to spend but the big irish breakfast in the morning got me through until dinner so it wasn’t too bad. plus, september (depending on when you’re going) is off-season or pretty close to it so you might get some cheaper rates anyways.

It’s not the cheapest, but you can get reasonable deals on hotels if you shop around. Is worth it though cos it’s the best city in the world.

Very. Go to another city instead. Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick or Waterford. All nicer anyway.
