it is better having the break in the summer as it is hotter and they would rather spend time with there families abroad than playing football in the boiling heat when they can play football in the nice cool weather.
Have you ever tried playing 90 minutes of football at the height of summer?!
We’d all die of heat stroke!
No, stick to the summer break! People are usually on holidays etc. and may not be able to go to games/watch games! Makes sense the way it is!
Playing in 30 degree heat at full tilt is a bit dangerous to your health! and who wants to be indoors in summer watching TV? plus when would kids play they would be indoors in summer watching football instead of playing?? they wouldnt get much practice and british football would be in worse shape! pro’s? I cant think of any.
I would like to see the break in the winter so that teams play when the weather is best, but the big tournaments are held in the summer and there is no way of convincing FIFA that the club teams are more important then the national teams. The World Cup is the World Cup and they will always play it in the summer.
And a lovely day to you Dame Carolyn.
stick to summer so i dont have to put up with on my hols
I live in Canada and our break is in winter – just thank God you don’t have our winters period.
One of the forgotten Blatter plans … and thank God so.
Respect the traditions
Give us cricketers a break, gal.
