That depends on where he is going and what he is planning to do. $500 would be a bare minumum for just about anywhere in the country. (In New York, I would hope he is not doing much at all on only $500 US) $1,000 – $2,000 would ensure he has the money to see what he wants to see, eat where he wants to eat, and enjoy his trip. I could give you better idea of what he would be doing if I knew where he was going what he wanted to do. For example, visiting New York is expensive, while visiting Savannah, Georgia wouldn’t be anywhere near as expensive.

like $7,000 dollar is very enough but if he is going to live in a apartment by him self the rent is like $600 dollar so if he is going to stay with friends he won’t need alot of money there is alot of fun places to visit in the us so he would need money !!!!!!!!!
Depends on if he eats out and needs to bring gifts back to his family and if he rents a car. If he just stays with friends and they bring him around probably only a few hundred unless he needs gifts then I would bring a $1000.00 or more. Renting a car gets expensive unless you get a deal on a cheap one, maybe another 1000.00
