My friends and I are going to England for 2 weeks for our senior trip . We don’t know how much money to bring for food and how much the average meal costs. Also if you have any suggestions for good places to go see. thanks!

For london I am afriad nothing is very cheap – allow £5.30 per day for a zones 1 and 2 travel card (which should take you most places you need to go to) on any transport. Food wise, if you stick to cafe type places for lunch then you should get away with less than a fiver for lunch too. Average meals will cost you anywhere from a tenner per head to 100 per head depending on where you want to go! For the best deals, move away from tube stations and major sights – There is so much good food to be had its hard to recommend anywhere unless we know what you like to eat!
Places to go – Borough market – be fed for very little with all the free samples (london bridge tube)
Spitalfields market (Liverpool Street tube)
Regents park, primrose hill if weather is nice for a cheap day out with nice scenery. Greenwich is lovely too. And there is obviously the usual tourist haunts too!
