Lanzarote Villa Holidays

Lanzarote in the Canary Islands has been a favoured vacation destination for over 4 decades, primarily due to its almost tropical climate, an abundance of quality beaches and relatively unspoilt scenery. Surprisingly given its relative close proximity to the west coast of Africa Lanzarote like the rest of the Canary Island remain Spanish. Puerto del Carmen (which is still a family favourite amongst family holiday makers),was the first tourist development on Lanzarote and it can be found on the south eastern side of the island..

Lanzarote is renowned for its mild winter climate as well as its outstanding summer temperatures, as even in December daily temperatures range between a very warm 20 to 24 degrees. Making holidays on the island an option all year round, with an excellent range of Lanzarote apartments and accommodation suitable for most budgets and visitor requirements.

Laterly and in more recent times, there has been a considerable increase in Lanzarote Villas available for rental. Making do it yourself holiday getaways in the sun a firm favourite with many holiday makers. The choice of Lanzarote holiday villas is excellent, especially in the established preffered resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.

Most holiday villas in Lanzarote come with their own private swimming pool (some may be covered), secluded tropical gardens and interiors tastefully decorated and fitted with all the mod cons you would have at home, for example a dishwasher (who wants to wash up on holiday?), an internet connection and essentially in the hot summer months air conditioning. And often they have extras such as Jacuzzis, pool tables and a DVD library. With prices starting from around the £500 per week mark for a standard two bedroom rental property.

There is also a good selection of apartments and studios in Lanzarote available for rent, with a large concentration the centre of Puerto del Carmen, the islands favourite and most established resort on the island.  Apartment complexes provide all the equipment expected of self-catering accommodation, and most have their own shared pool and areas for sunbathing.

Another bonus is that the resorts beaches are only a very short walk away if you don’t fancy relaxing by the pool.

If you like a bit of activity on you holiday then you will not be disappointed either as there are plenty to do in Puerto del Carmen, with plenty to do including horse-riding and organised walks. all readily available to holidaymakers.  And those who enjoy their nightlife are also well catered for, with a varied selection of restaurants and bars overlooking the sea or clustered around the town harbour.

The islands development has been clearly restrained to ensure that it doesn’t cease to offer an enjoyable vacation experience, whilst still maintaining its unique historical roots and culture. Making holidays in Lanzarote ideal for travellers looking for modern amenities without compromising on their surroundings.
