i’m from sheffield and it’s grim here too,went out yesterday and it was fine..got on the bus and it threw it down!..but it was warm too which felt really odd..strange..very strange..ah well thats the good old british weather for you…but at least we don’t suffer tidal waves or major hurricanes or tornadoes..
No, i live in Derbyshire,and it’s fairly grim here too,but i do think the grass is greener here as we have the peaks,and you have the second highest serious crime outside of London.
Yes, Manchester is very grim! I lived there for 6 years whilst studying at university then moved back home to lovely sunny, clean and green Yorkshire. Would I go back to Manchester…noooooooooo way! The air is polluted, the streets dirty, the people rude, uncaring and rough (and very often smelly), the buses disgusting, the traffic noise unbearable and stess-inducing and there are ALWAYS grey clouds lurking somewhere in the sky, with rain or drizzle on what feels to be nearly every day! On the plus side, there is lots to do if you want to go out, but who cares, this doesn’t off-balance the grime and misery of the place!!!
