I want to take a trip to London has anyone visited that can give rough estimate of the cost?

Courtney S asked:

Cost not only pertaining to the plane ticket but everything, like room, food costs, and money to spare for other stuff. This being a one week trip!

When you get here you will need £100 a day or $200 US for a reasonable stay. If you want to have a great time, double that. If you want an awesome time, triple it.

    You need pounds as follows:
    Hotel Room 1,000
    Food etc. 1,000
    That equals $4,000 plus
    air fare $1,000.
    Total = $5,000.

Depends where you will be staying, what you’ll be eating, where you will be going etc

    £1 = approximately $2

I would estimate you need these kind of minimums per day
    hostel bed – £20-30 a night
    hotel £60-80 a night

Lunch £5 (assuming a sandwich etc)
Dinner £20-30 (assuming a standard meal with wine)
    Drinks £10 (asuming 3/4 in a pub)
Travel £5 (oystercard / one day travelcard)
Entry to museums and galleries £10-20 (although most of the major ones are free

Plus maybe more if you want to make trips out of London by train etc

So after accommodation around £50-60 a day plus extra for shopping/ other expenses
