Go to Rome – it has a much better ambiance than Berlin.
Also the weather will be pleasant.
Check what is on at the Opera House.
I’d definitely do Rome if I had my choice… besides the food will be better than Berlin!
Rome is extremely busy and traffic is busy 24/7 you just cannot get away from it – even on the side streets and pavement cafes if the cars don’t come up there the scooters do. Be prepared for queues everywhere and lots of people! Also play Russian Roulette when crossing the road AND it’s expensive. Can’t comment on Berlin as I have never been but would like to some day
Ooh, tough choice. People in Rome are hotter, but people in Berlin are far kinkier.
Sightseeing: Rome. The Colosseum and all the ancient sites.
Berlin has the former wall, and a lot of World War II sites.
Music Scene: Depends on what you’re into. Berlin is better if you’re into techno-music.
It depends on what kind of sights you like but personally I would choose Rome because i love ancient history and there is loads of that in Rome.
I am not sure about the music, but Italians are generally very musical and I would think there would be plenty of good music in Rome.
Oh, Rome! It has to be. It’s known as the Eternal City. Fabulous. Not particularly cheap, but worth it. But Berlin probably isn’t cheap either.
Yes, it’s got to be Rome. And you can see the real thing before the Angels and Demons film comes out.

rome is awesome for sightseeing but berlin is a great party city with some excellent live music venues and great bars and clubs- particualrly in the student areas in east berlin were the eastern bloc feel is still palpable.
i took a tour spending four days in each city two years ago- Rome is unbelievable and as a student of ancient history, i loved it…but berlin is better for going out…definitely!!!
