How much stipend/month do i need to live in Various Cities in Europe. (Germany,London,France etc) ?

Leo asked:

I am planning to apply for an Internship in Europe.I plan to stay at least for an Year there.

Now I want a realistic Cost of living calculation for various cities in Europe. My standard of living would be may be live in a Single room flat with decent facilities+Commute(travel)+Food+Utilities.

Travel around on weekends(mostly by cheap modes of transport nothing flashy ..

I dont party much but definitely would like to try some fun stuff on weekends…

I tried various Cost-of living comparison websites but found no satisfactory comparison. The BigMac Index or PPP(Price Power Parity Index) is also of not much help!!!
:) Help me O’ Saint Yahooo!!!

In your place I would try to get a stipendium in Europe. Here in Germany we do have a law giving you income help for your studies. Depending on income of your parents, but not depending where your parents live on this world. Perhaps the ASTA of the university you like will help you.
    For excample write:
    Allgemeiner Studentenausschuß
    Universität Hamburg
    I need help
    2000 Hamburg
    Germany

And tell them your problems, I beliefe they are very glad to have found someone to help
    Greetings from Hamburg, Germany

Germany is really cheap, particularly the eastern part like Berlin. Also the culture is great.

    London is expensive.
