It will be about 8 or 9 hours going and about 8 coming back. You could take some music (ipod/cd player etc) or a book. There will probably be seatback tvs with games and movies and stuff on the plane.

Schedules say 9 hours out and 8 hours back, give or take a few minutes. Are you going to Orlando airport (MCO) or Sanford airport (SFB)? If it’s a charter airline then probably the latter; if Virgin then the former. Virgin tend to be better with seat back TVs but the charter airlines vary. Take a book, a gameboy, or whatever.

Gatwick to Orlando is about 9 and a half hours but there is no such airport as florida international airport.

The main airports in Florida are:
    Orlando International
    Orlando Sanford
    Miami
    Fort Lauderdale
    Tampa

well it took me 10 hours to go from orlando to CDG (paris) so i am going to guess depending on the head or tail wind 8 to 9 hours more… if there is a headwind, less if there is a tailwind
