How expensive is a trip to London?

hdiva asked:

My grandma is talking about taking me to England when I graduate high school. How expensive is a trip there so I can start saving up for it?

This really depends on what you want to do when you get there. When i was young my mum used to take me to London, we would stay in a hotel, go shopping and see a show at the theatre.

Theatre tickets can cost anywhere between 50 – 100 GBP per ticket depending on what you want to go and see and where it is.

Hotels will cost approx. 50 GBP + per night.

As for the shopping well … you can spend as much and as little as you want to really, it is London after all …

There are some very good markets in Covent Garden, you can generally haggle for things here so its reasonable cheap.

Camden Town is a cool place to go, its mostly markets and tiny little shops, you could spend a whole day wandering around here finding cool things to buy.

If you want to see the City itself that wont cost more than a few pounds on the underground – see link below.

The parks in London are very nice to walk around and thats free!

Most of the museums in London are free!

    I hope this helps!

tip : if you are going for few days only the i sugest using taxi instead of underground
it will cost almost the same (or at least for us)
and it’s easier and more comfortable

depends on how long you stay, a hotel would cost you 150 pounds per night
and $100 would be about 59 pounds
the hotels would cost the most, and the taxi too.
i would say around 10,000 dollars would be good.
