Going on a short business trip to Los Angeles?

Travelling Dad asked:

I usually bring presents back but have never been to LA before. Any ideas as to what to buy for my Wife and 11yr old Daughter. Oh and it’s my Wife’s birthday and our Wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks so I could get a pressie for her out there.

One thing that just screams Hollywood is a replica of a star from the Walk of Fame. You can purchase them in Hollywood or on the Internet, and even get one customized with someone’s name. There are locations at Grauman’s Chinese Theater or at the Renaissance Hotel at Hollywood Highland.

If you can manage to hit Melrose Ave., a very trendy and inexpensive street, your teenaged daughter will love just about anything from any boutique. Try Larchmont Ave., a cute village near Melrose for your wife’s upscale boutique treasure.

whoever suggested melrose is awesome haha. Melrose Ave has everything. The whole Hollywood star thing is a bit cheesy.

There’s so many places you really just have to be lucky to come across them. But Melrose is a nice suggestion.
