Get a copy of Fodor’s Spain or any of the other fine travel guides for Spain.
You can follow the link:
and buy a guide book on Barcelona…Will not cost you much but will go a long way.
try these 2 sites they give some indication as to the prices and places to see
Everything is usually cheaper than in the UK, so don’t worry, you’ll have a wonderful time and won’t spend too much. Tip: avoid restaurants, bars and terraces along the famous Ramblas they prey on tourists! Prices are outrageous!!!!
Dont know about online guides, but the Rough Guide to Barcelona is excellent. Lots of cheap restaurants around the placa reial (also lots of terrible ones as well – definitely avoid food on the ramblas!).
Its a fairly expensive city as there are so many tourists to rip off, but its not hard to find good food etc… last time i went we were a group of 5 and we never paid more than 20 euros per person for a 2 course evening meal with a couple of bottles of cava! Very touristy, but the Bus Touriste (not the orange one) costs 23 euros and last 2 days and is a brilliant way to see the whole city if you are pushed for time. It starts at placa catalunya and has loads of lines and hundreds of buses.
Bracelona is amazing, and i hope you have an excellent time!
