yes u do, u just don’t need a U.S visa to come back here. Call the British Consulate for this, people going to Japan had to get one, most probably U.K too will require it, depends on where ur country of origin is too.
If u come from a sucky country like India or China, then u will definitely need a Visa.

Since Home land secretory was formed you need a passport to leave the United States. I do not know what you need but you really need to check this out. You may go out and not be able to come back. If you have some kind of papers that say you are a legal resident,you should be able to get a passport I would think. Man check it out really careful. I use to go the Canada, years a go. Now I hear that you need a passport to go any were out of the country.
