I am having trouble with the Renault Clio 2002 semi automatic car that I own. After short journeys (less than 5 km) when I try to restart the car, the engine will not start.

This has become very troublesome as every time I go to supermarket when I am ready to go back home, the car does not start. It will only start again after I have left it for alone 2-3 hours before trying to start it again. My supermarket trips which should take only half hour are now taking me 3 hours, half hour to shop and 2.5 hours (rest for my car) to restart the car.

Please could you help me and let me know what could be going wrong. I don’t want to be ignorant when I go to a garage (and get ripped off!!)

I have recently had my fusebox moved and my kitchen rewired, could this be the problem, even though none of the other appliances are short circuiting and I have used the machine 5 times since then?

Also I have moved my washing machine out of the room and back again could this be the problem even though I have used it 5 times since then?
