josifeen asked: I’m hoping to find a little hotel/pub/bb in London for next weekend as although my partner and I would love to go away for the weekend, various things are keeping us in London. However time away from flatmates etc is needed! Am looking for somewhere preferably west-ish, or at least in Zone 2-3, that is on the cheap side (no more than £60 per night per room), and generally lacking in cockroaches and other infestations……
Being a Londoner I’m not in the need for touristy things, just somewhere cheap, clean, cosy and nice for a weekend away from flatmates… Perhaps any fellow Londoners know of somewhere secret and super?
I’ve seen lots of stuff on all the usual booking websites but generally get freaked out by TripAdvisor reviews, haha…
Thoughts and help appreciated…!

Vivacious Vegan asked: Hello,
I am going to London for my 30th birthday in March (SO excited by the way). What are some fun things to do besides all the tourist attractions? I would love to go to some local bars/clubs and eat at out of the way restaurants. Also, my husband and I would love to be able to go to a football game… how much do those usually cost? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

mr_mrs_steen asked: We are going on vacation from the U.S. to London this summer. We will staying in a hotel somewhere in the city for 5 days, so it’s safe to assume we will be dining out for most, if not all, meals. About how much money can we expect to spend for all 5 of us, 2 adults, 3 children. We don’t have expensive tastes, so we don’t plan on eating at any upscale restaurants. Also do they have fast food chains there, eg. McDonald’s? If we take a bus/taxi somewhere, will we have to lug around our 2 year old’s carseat? Any tips on vacationing in London would be appreciated. Thanks!

ZZlights asked: How much would a cheapish hotel for two cost for a week? How much would cheapish food cost for a week? How much do you think we would end up spending on souvenirs? Thanks!
Overall, how much do you think the trip would cost if we were traveling cheap but not staying and eating in skuzzy places?

Doesntstayinvegas.com asked: Where could I find a cheap round trip ticket from Las Vegas to London? What do I need to know and have when to go through Customs?
Also, I am planning to either stay in cheap hostel, roach motel or someone’s home for the weekend.
How I do go around doing that?
I would prefer to meet someone there and have them show me around for the weekend.

Terra_chan asked: This spring break my family (4 people, 2 adults, 2 kids) is planning to fly over to London. While we are there we are planning to take a side trip to Stonehenge which we predict will take about a day all together. I need some information. What is the quickest but cheapest way to get there. Do they have a train station over there, or a bus that is not too inexpensive? How much would it cost and about how long would it take to get there? We don’t want to pay a bunch for expensive planned tour so we don’t need info on that. Also is there anything else in that region that would be worth a visit?
Please give any advice you can. I am fairly new to planning trips so, all help is appreciated.
Oh, I didn;t make myself clear. We want to go straight from London to stonehenge. We will not have a car

Pablo asked: Besides the ticket I have to pay a fare of more than 80U$S in the moment I pay the ticket. Do I have to pay another fare when leaving London too? I know it’s 40 pounds now but I don’t know if it’s included in the 80U$S (or more) I pay initially.

Undone asked: I’m going to visit London with a friend on Friday, we’ve already decided to have a look at a museum briefly, neither of us are into art and both of our budgets are tight. Are there any fun, cheap sheltered attractions to visit that anyone can suggest?
We’re mainly going to be around kings cross, the nearer to that the better.
fair points, it may not be raining but the forecast doesn’t look great. I was thinking a museum in the morning then something different in the afternoon. I was hoping for some quirky suggestions.
