Can anyone give me tips on the interview process for a travel consultant position with firstchoice?

stacey c asked:

I have an interview with firstchoice this monday and I really want it can anyone tell me anything about the job or interview and the oppurtunities this may bring. I already work nights at RBS and have no intentions of quitting this job but I have always had a passion for travel and would like to explore this even though the pay isnt great so I will do both if I get offered the position. Any serious advise whatsoever will be great.

I can recommend this book: 201 Best Questions To Ask On Your Interview. I bought it as an ebook and it helped me nail a couple of job offers.

If I was interviewing you, I’d be concerned about you wanting to keep another job. If you’re working nights, then I’d expect you to be tired while working for me. It might be hard for you to sell holidays when you look like you need one yourself.

I recently saw an article about how despite travel agents getting killed by online travel websites, research shows that people still prefer a human face when booking their holidays and are willing to pay extra for this service.

    All the best!
